A Kids Car That Lasts Three Years Relies on Material Choices You Don’t See
PP and ABS body, metal connectors, wear-resistant tires — the answers to durability are right in the

Judging the value of a kids electric car shouldn’t just look at the purchase price, but also at how long it lasts. The durability foundation of this green vintage big-wheel four-wheel car comes from its material logic.
The main body materials are PP and ABS plastics. PP offers good flexibility, while ABS provides rigidity. Together, they absorb impact from daily bumps without cracking. When children ride in the yard or on community paths and occasionally brush against a wall or curb, this material combination is designed exactly for those moments. The body won’t show obvious cracks or deform.
Key connection points use metal parts. In areas like the steering mechanism and wheel axle mounts, metal components handle repeated torque better than plastic ones. This means even with frequent steering wheel turning or reversing, these joints stay tight. A stable four-wheel structure is part of long-term durability.
The tires are labeled “wear-resistant.” Driving on asphalt, concrete, brick, and other hard surfaces wears tires differently. The oversized off-road tread tires not only look powerful, but their wear-resistant tread compound extends the replacement cycle. Parents don’t need to worry about the tires smoothing out too quickly.
Environmental consideration also plays a role in material selection. Both PP and ABS are recyclable plastics. When the car eventually reaches the end of its life, the body material can enter the recycling stream, reducing the burden on the environment. This is a future-oriented design detail. Many consumers may not notice it right away, but a manufacturer’s responsibility is reflected here.
Beyond the materials themselves, the car’s overall weight distribution and structural design also support durability. With a net weight of about 7.7 kg and a max load of 25 kg, the chassis and stress points were calculated during design. The 12V 4Ah rechargeable battery provides stable power without placing extra stress on the frame from overloads. The vehicle’s dimensions of 94×56×45 cm are tailored for children aged 3 to 5, ensuring a proper posture during use and reducing the risk of damage from improper operation. A car that can accompany a child from age three to five is not made by accident. Its lifespan is already determined in the bill of materials.
